How to prepare a cocoa drink

Traditionally, cocoa drink is made from 100% cocoa mass, water, and your favorite spices. The cocoa is thick and has a strong chocolate flavor.

Choose your cocoa dose

10 - 15 g. - light cocoa drink, suitable for daily use
25 - 35 g. - medium-strength cocoa drink
35 - 40 g. - strong cocoa drink, suitable for cocoa ceremonies

Ingredients

  • Cocoa mass, chopped with a knife (10–40 g, depending on the desired strength).
  • 70–80°C water.
  • Plant-based milk (to taste – almond, oat, coconut or other).
  • Spices or sweeteners (optional, but great for enhancing the flavor).

COCKTAIL BAR
To obtain a creamy cocoa drink with a stiff foam, we recommend using a cocktail shaker. After adding all the ingredients, blend everything for about 1 minute.

ELECTRIC GRINDER

You can also make the cocoa drink with an electric blender. However, to obtain a stiff foam, you will need to beat the cocoa a little longer, preferably about 2 minutes.



MILK FOAM FOAMER


Using a milk frother, mix the cocoa and a small amount of warm water in an up-and-down or circular motion until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and beat for a few more seconds.


DRINK


A great option for travel – just shake vigorously!

Finely chop the cocoa mass, heat the water/plant-based milk. Heat over low heat, stirring until the cocoa is completely dissolved.
