The two most important components to a successful cacao ceremony are the quality of the cacao and the intention that you come to the ceremony with.
What is ceremonial cocoa?
1. It’s a 100% pure cacao-bean paste.
It is a 100% pure cocoa bean mass that contains many more beneficial, health-restoring and mood-enhancing compounds than any other cocoa-based product on the market (such as cocoa powder or chocolate, etc.).
2. Ceremonial cocoa mass is made from Criollo cocoa beans.
The main types of cocoa beans are Criollo, Trinitario and Forastero.
Criollo cocoa is considered to be the least bitter and most aromatic type of cocoa. The Criollo cocoa species is one of the rarest species in the world (only 5 percent compared to other cocoa species).
3. Raw (RAW) cocoa
The ceremonial cocoa mass is obtained by fermenting the Criollo beans, heating them slightly (but not roasting), peeling them, and finally grinding them with stone mills to a cocoa mass. In this process, cocoa beans are not roasted at high temperatures, so cocoa because of this process, the Criollo bean retains most of its beneficial properties
4. Organic cocoa
When choosing ceremonial cocoa, it is advisable to look for organically grown products. Organic farms apply particularly high farming standards, do not use a variety of fertilizers and grow their crops as naturally as possible.
