Where it's grown
Cocoa is grown in Guatemala, in the Verapaces region. Local small-scale farming communities are organized into a cooperative called FEDECOVERA. Cocoa is sourced from these small farmers at very competitive market prices, providing farmers with a stable source of income. FEDECOVERA is an excellent example of how a cooperative can improve not only the lives of its members but also the entire community. In the Verapaces region, local clinics, schools, low-interest loans, improved local infrastructure, training, and trade services are being provided.
Species
Trinitario - Trinitario varieties were grown by hybridizing Criollo and Forastero types of cocoa, combining the quality of Criollo with Forastero's disease resistance.

How to make cocoa (for one cup):
- Cocoa 10 - 35 g
- 40 ml hot water
- 80 ml plant-based milk
- Favorite sweetener (optional)
