Guatemalan cacao – refreshing yet pleasantly warming.  Where It’s Grown
Cacao is grown in Guatemala, in the Verapaces region. Local small farmers are united under the cooperative FEDECOVERA. FEDECOVERA purchases cacao from small farmers at highly competitive market prices, ensuring a stable income source for growers. This cooperative is a great example of how an organization can improve the living conditions of not only its members but also the entire community. In the Verapaces region, the cooperative invests in local clinics, schools, access to low-interest loans, infrastructure improvements, and various training and trade services.

Cacao Variety
 Trinitario – A hybrid cacao variety developed by crossing Criollo and Forastero, combining Criollo’s quality with Forastero’s disease resistance.

Unique Qualities of Guatemalan Cacao:

- Sourced from small farmers in Guatemala’s Verapaces region.
- 100% cacao, with no added sugar, suitable for vegans.
- Comes in irregular 10 - 20 g pieces, soft and easy to cut.

This cacao mass, unlike chocolate, is untempered, and its appearance may differ from the photos shown – the cacao mass can be light brown, porous in texture, and may crumble easily, with some fragments in the package. This is completely normal and does not affect the taste or quality of the cacao – this is how 100% cacao mass looks when not processed by industrial methods.

Cocoa preparation instructions

How much cocoa should I consume?
10 - 15 g. - light cocoa drink, suitable for daily use
25 - 35 g. - medium-strength cocoa drink
35 - 40 g. - strong cocoa drink, suitable for cocoa ceremonies

1 tsp. ground cocoa = 5 g.

Premium cocoa drink
How to make cocoa (for one cup):
- Cocoa 10 - 30 g / 2 - 5 teaspoons of ground cocoa

- 3/4 cup hot water
- A splash of plant-based milk
- Your favorite sweetener (optional)


Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 1 minute.
